Oh, how tough it has been to find good Native American books for children!
Most of us grew up with the cowboy and Indian stories that still scar Native America, and most of us would like to be able to screen those books before we buy them or take them out of the library.
Hopefully this section of the Book Review will help us decipher the good from the bad so that our children and grand children won’t get the wrong message just because the wrong children’s literature fell into their hands.
We found some books at amazon.com that may or may not fall into the “bad” category, we seriously don’t know. But, let us know what books you would suggest we buy and what books you think we should avoid.
