Free Online Genealogy Course at genealogy.com university - This site offers free classes to get started in genealogy - but beware of any hidden costs that may be involved in publishing your family’s history on the web! Our advice is to take the classes, digest the information but do your research before creating web pages on someone’s database.
Also at genealogy.com is the Genealogy Learning Center with lots of helpful hints for the general genealogist. But once again, think twice and do your research before agreeing to any membership.

The free charts only go up to 6 generations, so if you need to go more than 6 generations but less than 15 generations, you’ll pay for it here.
